In our research this is one of the largest examples of this type of material. We acquired this specimen from long time Indian suppliers of Zeolite materials. Prehnite epimorph after Laumontite. The elongate crystals of the mineral Laumontite formed first, to be later overgrown by the mineral Prehnite. The Laumontite then dissolved away, leaving the Prehnite behind as hollow tubes that remained in the shape of the Laumontite. Origin is the Poona area, India.
